In the midst of all of the city's concrete and high-rises, Central Park brings greenery and shady places for relaxation--as well as a zoo, carousel, skating rink, theater, and several fountains--to the northern part of the city. Stroll, bike, picnic, or people-watch among 341 hectares (843 acres) of lakes, jogging paths, woodlands, walkways, lawns, and trees. One of the country's major historical landmarks, the park hosts frequent concert, plays, and art shows. Stop by the Alice in Wonderland statue, a favorite place for photos. Central Park Reviews
For us it was a must see because we are avid watchers of SVU, but we could have passed on it in its present state. No doubt it would be a sight to see in snow or fall foliage. We will check it out..... more »
We loved our time in Central Park. We took the 45 minute horse and carriage ride and although pricey it was well worth it. We were lucky that the weather was sunny and mild and our driver was so... more »
I very much enjoy my tour in the Central Park. The place has many spots that were showcased in many famous movies such as Sex and the City. It’s a huge park with many activities to do. You can also do bike tour. There is also beautiful lake to walk around and relax. I recommend to spend a whole day there. Kids would love this place. There are many benches in the park so visitors can rest and sip coffee/drinks. There are also several spots to picnic and chill.
Central Park is an iconic park. It’s just exactly how is shown in the movies! Beautiful, peaceful, big and very inspiring. The park is great to visit all year long. During the summer time, I’d recommend to rent a bike and explore this park from bottom to top, also there are plenty of outdoor activities that you can do with you friends and family like canoeing or going to their small zoo. During the winter time, you can go ice skating and take very picturesque images!
