Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

4.4
For an ultimate Hollywood experience, visit Universal Studios Hollywood, a film studio, theme park, and a self-contained city all its own. One of the oldest Hollywood studios still in use, this show business complex considers itself "the entertainment capital of Los Angeles." Originally created to offer tours of real film studios, sets, and sound stages, the complex now offers live shows, thrill rides, and behind-the-scenes presentations about the movie-making process. To see the highlights, take a tram tour of the sound stages and sets designed specifically for some of the studio's biggest blockbusters. You can also choose from indoor and outdoor roller-coaster rides that provide you the chance to face King Kong, a shark attack, dinosaurs, and a powerful earthquake. • I like more than Disney is a place full of special effects, in which adults are can have fun like children. I recommend it too.

  • On a day you don't see everything, that obviously there will be things that you want to upload, or live more than twice, so it agrees to buy the two day pass and cheaper, aaah and web site is cheaper than direct at box office Another highly recommended thing is to download the app from the Park, so you can plan super well throughout your day, also tells you timeout in the rank of every game and lets you know when they will start the show. Will not miss it, for anything in the world! aaah and if it is your birthday or the month of your meets, when ve reach customer and asks your birthday button, is father that all literal all you congratulations, sing you Happy birthday and hopefully they give you quick passes or you pass the quick rank aah you can also ask your first visit button. Another recommendation is to buy the souvenir Cup, has free refill all the day (when shopping) already the next day cost you the refill or buy another glass lol! Parking costs $ 25 but is by all day and leaving the Park you can take a good ride by city Walk this sooo father and Yes you should visit stores, so in the long run is not so expensive parking.

  • This is great fun for all ages . I've been here 3 times and it's always been good but I've learned to get there early and pay an extra $99 a ticket and upgrade to the front of the line pass otherwise ...  more »

  • The universal store at the entrance of the park essentially has everything all the other stores have so it’s better just to go there on the way out and buy things. If you do buy things at the stores you can have hem sent to the universal store for pickup. The Harry Potter section is cool and enjoyable if you are a fan but after a bit you have seen it all. There are four areas that are pretty small each with a ride or two. The water works show is pretty cool. The animal show is similar to the one at sea world. The studio tour is actually pretty interesting and we did that both days. The Simpson donuts are surprisingly good. All in all we had a fantastic day and would highly recommend it!
  • Absolutely amazing day spent on Christmas day at the park. I had no idea that so many people would be at the park on Christmas day but I must say this is one park that planned ahead for the major traffic. I've never been to an amusement park that the process for not only getting through the park upon entry is super fast not to mention how you don't have to wait in long lines anywhere throughout the park whether it be for good or to the restroom. It's as though they have properly trained each of their staff for the overcrowding. Then every restroom has an attendant to keep things cleaned and to have a 0 wait time. Aside from. All the wonderful shows what was even more wonderful was although the entry day passes seemed a bit pricey, Once you're in, the price for good, goodies and souvenirs are extremely reasonable unlike many other parks. I mean it's very affordable for families and I love they aren't trying to charge you an arm and a leg just to buy food for your family. Then on the outskirts of universal studio is Universal city walk with various restaurants, shops and outdoor skydiving and movie theaters. Wonderful time celebrating my 40th birthday and even after just barely mentioning after being in the park many hours later, a manager heard me and asked what ride was I heading to, I told her and surprisingly she came and found me and gave me a universal studios birthday necklace. I thought this was a wonderful gesture to help make my day even more remarkable. Now I definitely have to bring my family back to experience.
  • Awesome experience. My favorites are Universal Studios Tour (for first timers, works best if you make it your first ride in the studio), Harry Potter World, Jurassic Park, The Transporters and the Mummy. On a busy day, each of these can be 2 hrs wait. I recommend, buying tickets online and getting in real early, go straight to the Universal Studios Tour so you get an introduction to the Studios and the ride is fun as well. Then get other rides done. Best!
  • Fantastic place to visit. Great rides, lots to do. The tour ride that they do is a must when visiting here. It was great. My 15, 12 and 6 year old kids all really enjoyed it. We were initially going to get a 2 day ticket thinking we may not have time to see and do everything we wanted to. My cousin who lives in LA told us 1 day would be plenty and she was right, 1 day was definitely enough (line waits for rides are not like Disneyland) Definitely down load the Universal Studios app before you go, that way you can check on wait times for rides so as to better plan your day
  • We visited on a Thursday in October and decided to get a front of line pass. It was really nice to be able to walk straight onto every ride, including the studio tour. For us, it was worth the extra money. Even though the park was shown to be open to a certain time, most rides and all the shops and food outlets shut at least half an hour before this. We couldn’t get drinks etc. after our last ride. Don’t forget to make a note of where you park your car! Also when you are at the Harry Potter ride make sure to check out the maze there are a lot of awesome treats and cool stuff inside around the castle
