Picnic, walk, run, and have an active day at Kapiolani Regional Park, Hawaii's oldest and largest public park. Just beyond a residential neighborhood and near the beach, this 120 hectare (300 acre) park has large grassy areas, palm trees, and banyan trees. The park, listed on the state's Historic Register, houses an outdoor concert area for over 8,000 people and a zoo. On many weekends local artists showcase their crafts, which you can purchase. • Lovely park away from main strip but unfortunately feels unsafe. Homeless are harmless but most avoided them by dodging occupied spots.  more »
  • Beautiful park with amazing trees and beautiful monuments. The zoo is within the park and there’s is a small aquarium just across the street. Both the zoo and aquarium are very reasonably priced and a...  more »
  • Watching the sunrise in dark jogging, I headed to the Kapiolani Park. It had waited more than 30 minutes without signs of the breakfast time, giving "is the Sunrise? "And like Asians? Better. "That is likely..." "is 7:57. Yet so do not try tennis, if you like. "From such a conversation or watching play, many talk about promotional mailings... Kapiolani Park was the place for people to connect.

  • Great party with as perfect how of the sunset and beach! Trees are perfect for slack lining, the banyon trees provide incredible shade, and the park backs up right to the ocean. Perfect for a late afternoon stroll. Whole parking is only available along the street, there is a lot and you rarely have to wait. If you want to see the green flash, this park will not let you down. There is also public restroom and a delicious grill with lots of fresh drinks
  • Such a lovely park at the foot of the Diamond Head crater. The views here are spectacular and remind us of how beautiful the world is. Lots of people come here to play soccer or other team sports.
  • Very nice large park near Waikiki beach under Diamond head. Great for excising, taking a relaxing stroll, pick nick, horsing around. Activities almost every weekend at the park.
  • Excellent place for hanging loose! Go past WAIKIKI AQUARIUM OR GO TO SEE IT THEN BEACH, SAN SOUCI. Local beach for swim snorkeling and surfing
  • Large park. Good for running the perimeter, which is what I don't here. Wish there was more free parking but with Waikiki so close, it would always be taken anyway without fee. There are a number of festivals that use the space each year.
