Sample fine wines and tour a 13th-century Tuscan-style castle at Castello di Amorosa. With a general admission, you explore the first two levels of the castle. Spend extra for the guided tour if you prefer to see more of the grand building. Discover the moat, chapel, drawbridge, and torture chamber, home to a 300-year-old iron maiden torture device. The great hall's frescoes took two Italian artists a year and a half to complete. Climb up one of the defensive towers to take in far-reaching views of the countryside. Once you have finished exploring, descend into tasting rooms to sample wines from the castle's vineyard. To visit Castello di Amorosa on your trip to Calistoga, use our Calistoga trip site.

Castello di Amorosa Reviews
It's in Calistoga, Napa area. Not only is a beautiful Tuscan style castle, also is good place to test wine. People are friendly. Better reserved the tour first, otherwise hard to find parking. more »
This place is cheesy and overpriced. But, it is a decent place for a "family" wine tasting or a large group as it is entertaining. There are animals on the grounds and the people are highly trained..... more »
Beutiful place for the family visiting the wine country... excellent collection of wines. Castle is very nice and interesting. Wine tasting was awesome here. Gift shops are full of interesting souvenirs. Kids love it. It is located in a slope and thus it has a excellent view of the mountains in the front.
Amazing winery Castle, the views are truly one of a kind in the area. A lot to see, take pictures and walk with family and friends. The wine tasting room is like a true man cave, big and full of goodness, and the service was unique. They took the time to explain the process and how we can become members. As a member we can be part of the special events/parties which it sounds fun. The wine was good, specially the Fantacy wine. Can’t wait to get back again.
