Constructed during the Aghlabid period (800-900 CE), the medina displays many architectural and structural features characteristic of early Islamic town planning.     Yes you can get bargains here but be aware that there is a lot of fakes, would not recommend going on your own. Constantly harassed which to me puts me right off, worth a visit just to experience  more »
