Admire the majestic facade and elaborately carved stone interiors of Mosque Sidi Sahbi (Mosque of the Barber), built over a mausoleum of Prophet Muhammad’s companion and barber Abou Zamaa el-Balawi, patron of the city. Originally built in the 13th century, this vast complex including several courts was enlarged and reconstructed in the mid-17th century. Hispanic Moorish-style minarets rise above the mosque, while the interior features an intricate tile design and richly decorated stucco panels with latticed windows.
