The glaciers from which Glacier National Park takes its name mostly dissipated eons ago, but they left behind a scoured landscape of high and steep mountain peaks, sparkling lakes, lush alpine meadows, and thick forests.Step out of the city life by going to Avalanche Lake and Iceberg Lake Trail. Shop till you drop at Home Ranch Bottoms and Willow's HuckleberryLand. There's much more to do: trek along Grinnell Glacier, contemplate the waterfront views at Lake McDonald, stroll through Highline Trail, and get great views at Jackson Glacier Overlook.
