Chioggia

Chioggia is a coastal town and comune of the Metropolitan City of Venice in the Veneto region of northern Italy.GeographyThe town is situated on a small island at the southern entrance to the Lagoon of Venice about 25km south of Venice (50km by road); causeways connect it to the mainland and to its frazione, nowadays a quarter, of Sottomarina. Get out of town with these interesting Chioggia side-trips: Codigoro (Palazzo del Vescovo - Biblioteca Comunale Giorgio Bassani & Pomposa Abbey), Bosco de la Mesola (in Bosco Mesola) and Boat Tours & Water Sports (in Porto Tolle). Next up on the itinerary: examine the collection at Casa Museo Remo Brindisi, cool off at Bagno Perla, have some family-friendly fun at Chioggia Kart, and head outdoors with Bagni Clodia.

City of Romance

Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 19th (Sun), steep yourself in history at Doge's Palace, then get to know the fascinating history of Piazza San Marco, then admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco, and finally admire the masterpieces at Gallerie dell'Accademia. Here are some ideas for day two: browse for treasures at Gioielleria Eredi Jovon, take in the views from Ponte di Rialto, don't miss a visit to St Mark's Campanile, contemplate the long history of Ponte dei Sospiri, then contemplate the long history of Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and finally stop by Mater Domini.
