Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 26th (Fri), stop by Cannaregio, contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, and then admire the striking features of Basilica di San Marco. On your second day here, snap pictures at Ponte di Rialto, get to know the fascinating history of Piazza San Marco, then take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, then steep yourself in history at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, and finally admire the striking features of Doge's Palace.

Lisbon, Portugal to Venice is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. The time zone difference moving from Western European Standard Time to Central European Standard Time is 1 hour. On the 29th (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: don't miss a visit to Palazzo Vecchio, contemplate the long history of The Baptistery of St. John, admire the landmark architecture of Campanile di Giotto, then take in the spiritual surroundings of Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, then get to know the fascinating history of Piazza del Duomo, and finally take in the views from Ponte Vecchio.

Get a sense of the local culture at Colosseum and Vatican Museums. Traveling by train from Florence to Rome takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or fly. In March in Rome, expect temperatures between 19°C during the day and 8°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Thu) so you can go by car to Positano.
