Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Start off your visit on the 8th (Wed): contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Reyniskirkja Church, admire the sheer force of Skogafoss, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Black Sand Beach. On the next day, take in the dramatic natural features at Dyrhólaey and then enjoy the sand and surf at Reynisfjara Beach.

Reykjavik to Vik is an approximately 2.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Reykjavik in December since evenings lows in Vik dip to 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 9th (Thu) so you can go by car to Geysir.

Geysir tourism revolves around a famed geyser, which goes from very calm to extremely volatile depending on the subterranean seismic activity at the time.
On the 10th (Fri), take in the natural beauty of Strokkur, admire the sheer force of Gullfoss Falls, then take in the dramatic scenery at Bruarfoss Waterfall, and finally relax and rejuvenate at Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin.

Traveling by car from Vik to Geysir takes 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Vik in December, Geysir is little chillier at night with lows of -2°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Fri) early enough to go by car to Reykjavik.
