On the 29th (Thu), make a trip to Bukchon Hanok Village, thenget engrossed in the history at Gyeongbokgung Palace, thenwander the streets of Insadong, and finally explore the activities along Cheonggyecheon Stream. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Jongmyo Shrine, thentour the pleasant surroundings at Changdeokgung Palace, and then admire the natural beauty at Namsan Park.

Traveling by flight from Kyoto to Seoul takes 7 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and ferry; or do a combination of car and ferry. Expect a bit cooler weather when traveling from Kyoto in October: highs in Seoul hover around 22°C, while lows dip to 21°C.
