Retalhuleu

The city of Retalhuleu is in south-western Guatemala. Step out of Retalhuleu to go to El Asintal and see Tak'alik Ab'aj, which is approximately 30 minutes away. There's lots more to do: find something for the whole family at Xetulul Theme Park, see the interesting displays at XULIK Parque Museo, have fun at Dino Park, and cool off at Xocomil.

Sitting in a scenic spot among towering mountains, Chichicastenango has a large indigenous population and displays its cultural heritage in a burst of color when hosting its long-established market.

Chisec is a municipality in the north of the Guatemalan department of Alta Verapaz that was founded in 1813. Spend the 22nd (Sun) exploring nature at Parque Nacional Laguna Lachua. Flores

An island town, capital of the landlocked region of Peten, attractive Flores features pleasant architecture that complements the shimmering appearance of the surrounding lake.
Take a break from Flores with a short trip to Cerro Biotope Cahui in El Remate, about 32 minutes away.
