Geysir tourism revolves around a famed geyser, which goes from very calm to extremely volatile depending on the subterranean seismic activity at the time.

Step out of Geysir to go to Svartsengi and see Gjain, which is approximately 46 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the natural beauty of Strokkur, admire the sheer force of Faxi (Vatnsleysufoss) Waterfall, indulge in some personalized pampering at Secret Lagoon - Gamla Laugin, and relax in the rural setting at Fridheimar.
