With a nickname like the "Pearl of the Orient," it's not surprising Shanghai offers some of the most rewarding attractions and activities in the Far East.
Get some cultural insight at The Bund (Wai Tan) and Tian Zi Fang. Visit Former French Concession and Jade Buddha Temple for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Shanghai side-trips: Suzhou (Humble Administrator's Garden & Pingjiang Road). The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Get some cultural insight at Spirited Garden and Arario Museum Tapdong Cinema. Escape the urban bustle at Halla Mountain and Daepo Haean Jusangjeolli Cliff. Change things up with a short trip to Jeongbang Waterfall in Seogwipo (about 1h 5 min away).
