Kick off your visit on the 26th (Wed): look for all kinds of wild species at Parque Ecologico Los Senderos del Abuelo, then examine the collection at Museo de Mascaras Ceremoniales, then stroll the grounds of Chichi Cemetery, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santo Tomas Church. Traveling by car from Lanquin to Chichicastenango takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or do a combination of shuttle and bus. In February, Chichicastenango is much colder than Lanquin - with highs of 25°C and lows of 5°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Thu) so you can take a shuttle to Quetzaltenango.
