You can fly from Sanya to Guilin in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of car and ferry; or take a train. Expect a bit cooler temperatures when traveling from Sanya in February; daily highs in Guilin reach 17°C and lows reach 8°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Lijiang.
