One of Poland's oldest cities, Krakow sits at the foot of the Carpathian Mountains, its historical town center nestled on the left bank of the Vistula River.
Take a break from Krakow with a short trip to Panstwowe Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau in Oswiecim, about 1h 30 min away. Spend the 29th (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. There's still lots to do: get to know the fascinating history of Wawel Royal Castle, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Wawel Cathedral, pause for some serene contemplation at St. Mary's Basilica, and make a trip to Krakow's Rynek Glowny Central Square.
