Miyakojima

A city jurisdiction formed after the merger of several towns in 2005, Miyakojima spans six linked-up islands.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Scuba & Snorkeling and Shimojiiima Island. Take a break from the city and head to Sunayama Beach and Kouri Island.
