Aptly nicknamed the Eternal City, Rome is the birthplace of the Roman Empire, one of the world's greatest civilizations ever.
You'll explore and learn at Vatican Museums and Galleria Borghese. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Colosseum and Piazza Navona. Step out of Rome with an excursion to Villa Adriana in Tivoli--about 36 minutes away. The adventure continues: take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Peter's Basilica, steep yourself in history at Roman Forum, ponder the design of Trevi Fountain, and admire the striking features of Pantheon.
