Edmonton, Canada to Cusco is an approximately 17- hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone difference when traveling from Edmonton to Cusco is 2 hours. Traveling from Edmonton in September, expect nights in Cusco to be about the same, around 5°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 25°C. Maras is a town in the Sacred Valley of the Incas, 40 kilometers north of Cuzco, in the Cuzco Region of Peru. On the 22nd (Tue), pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia Colonial de Chinchero, then delve into the distant past at Moray, and then take in the dramatic natural features at Salinas de Maras.

You can do a combination of train and taxi from Machu Picchu to Maras in 2.5 hours. Another option is to drive. In September, daytime highs in Maras are 25°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Tue) so you can travel to Puno.
