Get outdoors at Orewa Beach and Butterfly Creek. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Auckland Museum and Ponsonby. Step out of Auckland Central to go to Muriwai Beach and see Muriwai Gannet Colony, which is approximately 44 minutes away. The adventure continues: look for gifts at Pauanesia, steep yourself in history at Howick Historical Village, and pause for some serene contemplation at St Patrick's Cathedral.

Edmonton, Canada to Auckland Central is an approximately 20-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Edmonton to Auckland Central, you'll lose 19 hours due to the time zone difference. Step off the beaten path and head to Historic Village Herberton and Jaques Coffee Plantation. Escape the urban bustle at Scuba & Snorkeling and Esplanade Boardwalk. It doesn't end there: identify plant and animal life at Tablelands, Waterfalls, and Spanish Castle.
