In many ways the most modern of Italian cities, Milan is a busy, elegant metropolis with an impressive list of grand palaces, fine churches, and important museums.
On the 4th (Sat), admire the striking features of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, then pause for some serene contemplation at Duomo di Milano, and then make a trip to Piazza del Duomo. On your second day here, take an in-depth tour of Basilica di Sant'Ambrogio, then explore the historical opulence of Castello Sforzesco, and then catch a live performance at La Casa Maledetta.

Recife, Brazil to Milan is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Brasilia Time to Central European Time, which is usually a 4 hour difference. Traveling from Recife in January, things will get much colder in Milan: highs are around 9°C and lows about 0°C.
