Known for its impressive hillside cascade of colorful stone buildings down to the Mediterranean shore, Amalfi is the cultural and commercial heart of southern Italy's Amalfi Coast.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Fornillo and Bagni d'Arienzo Beach Club, Positano. Step off the beaten path and head to Villa Cimbrone Gardens and Castello Aragonese. Step out of Amalfi with an excursion to Badia della Santissima Trinita' in Cava De' Tirreni--about 54 minutes away.
