Reykjavik, the world's most northerly capital, effortlessly combines small-town charm with heaps of big city energy.
Venture out of the city with trips to Thingvellir (Thingvellir National Park & Kaldidalur Valley) and Thermal Spas (in Grindavik). Spend the 4th (Sat) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. The adventure continues: pause for some serene contemplation at Hallgrimskirkja, get engrossed in the history at Landnámssýningin/The Settlement Exhibition, push the limits with an extreme tour, and pause for some photo ops at Sun Voyager.

Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
When in Akureyri, make a side trip to see Speed Boats Tours in Husavik, approximately Husavik away. There's lots more to do: admire the sheer force of Dettifoss Waterfall, take in the natural beauty of Mývatn Nature Baths, tour the pleasant surroundings at Krafla Lava Fields, and hit the best photo ops around with an inspiring photography tour.

Geysir

Geysir tourism revolves around a famed geyser, which goes from very calm to extremely volatile depending on the subterranean seismic activity at the time.
Start off your visit on the 16th (Thu): witness a stunning natural landmark at Strokkur, tee off at Geysir Golf Course, and then take in the dramatic scenery at Gullfoss Falls.
