Zurich, Switzerland to Edinburgh is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also take a train; or do a combination of car and train. The time zone changes from Central European Standard Time to Greenwich Mean Time, which is usually a -1 hour difference. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Zurich in June, with highs in Edinburgh at 20°C and lows at 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 10th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Fort William.

Fort William is the second largest settlement in the Highlands of Scotland with around 10,000 inhabitants – and the largest town: only the city of Inverness is larger.Fort William is a major tourist centre, with Glen Coe just to the south, Aonach Mòr to the east and Glenfinnan to the west, on the Road to the Isles. Get some historical perspective at Eilean Donan Castle and Glenfinnan Viaduct. Kids will enjoy Nature & Wildlife Tours and Camusdarach Beach. Durness is a village and civil parish in the north-west Highlands of Scotland. Visiting Handa Island Wildlife Reserve and Balnakeil Beach will get you outdoors.
