Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nezu Shrine and Pola Museum of Art. Fire Museum and Tokyo National Museum The Heiseikan will appeal to museum buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Tokyo side-trips: Kamakura (Hokokuji Temple (Takedera Temple), Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, &more), Hakone Stone‐paved Road (in Hakone-machi) and Mitsumine Shrine (in Chichibu). There's lots more to do: wander the streets of Yanaka, browse the exhibits of Kanda Myojin, take in the spiritual surroundings of Senso-ji Temple, and explore the world behind art at Nezu Museum.
