Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
Get some cultural insight at Peggy Guggenheim Collection and St. Mark's Square. Museum-lovers will get to explore Doge's Palace and Gallerie dell'Accademia. There's still lots to do: admire the landmark architecture of Basilica di San Marco, contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande, take in the views from Ponte dei Sospiri, and enjoy breathtaking views from St Mark's Campanile.
