Ulverstone is a town on the northern coast of Tasmania, Australia on the mouth of the Leven River, on Bass Strait. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Mole Creek Caves and Marakoopa Cave. Bring the kids along to Montezuma Falls and Antique Emporium. Get out of town with these interesting Ulverstone side-trips: Gunns Plains Caves (in Gunns Plains), Cradle Mountain-Lake St. Clair National Park (Dove Lake Circuit & Marion's Lookout Walk) and Fern Glade Reserve (in Burnie).
