Padua is a picturesque city with a dense network of arcaded streets opening into large communal piazze (squares).
Get some cultural insight at Road of 52 Tunnels and Via delle Volte. Visit La Cinta Muraria - Camminamento di Ronda and Battistero del Duomo for their historical value. Get out of town with these interesting Padua side-trips: Villa Contarini (in Piazzola sul Brenta), Parrocchia Arcipretale di S. Lorenzo (in Occhiobello) and Ferrara (Chiesa dei Teatini, Piazza Cattedrale, &more). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at MUSME - Museum of the History of Medicine of Padova, pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario della Madonna di Monte Berico, explore the historical opulence of Castello Cini Monselice, and make a trip to Chiesa di Santa Sofia.
