Just a little way off the southern end of Grand Terre, Île des Pins (the Isle of Pines) gets its name from the tall columnar pines that stick out of the surrounding vegetation like bristles on a brush.
Visit Kuto Bay and Piscine Naturelle for some beach relaxation. Explore hidden gems such as Oro Bay and Upi Bay. The adventure continues: head outdoors with Nokanhoui, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at N'Ga Peak, step off the mainland to explore Ile Moro, and Head underground at Grotte de Hortense.

La Foa is a commune in the South Province of New Caledonia, an overseas territory of France in the Pacific Ocean.Although the provincial seat of the South Province is in Nouméa, La Foa was made the chief town of the administrative subdivision of the South in order to counterbalance the overwhelming weight of Nouméa in New Caledonia. Kick off your visit on the 9th (Thu): examine the collection at Fort Teremba, then kick back and relax at Grand Terre: Poe Beach and Roche Percee, and then take an in-depth tour of Musee de Bourail. On your second day here, hike along Sentier de la petite cascade and then delve into the lush surroundings at Parc des Grandes Fougeres.
