George Town, Malaysia to Tokyo is an approximately 13-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 2 hours traveling from George Town to Tokyo. Traveling from George Town in October, things will get a bit cooler in Tokyo: highs are around 26°C and lows about 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 4th (Sun) to allow time to travel to Kanazawa.

On the 5th (Mon), make a trip to Seisonkaku Villa, contemplate the waterfront views at Kenrokuen Kasumiga-ike Pond, admire the natural beauty at Kenrokuen Garden, step into the grandiose world of Kanazawa Castle, then make a trip to Omicho Market, and finally contemplate the long history of Higashichaya Old Town.

You can take a train from Tokyo to Kanazawa in 4 hours. Other options are to fly; or drive. In October in Kanazawa, expect temperatures between 24°C during the day and 15°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 5th (Mon) so you can go by car to Kyoto.
