A city of towering skyscrapers, sandy beaches, and tree-lined streets, Gold Coast has an unpretentious air complemented by a citywide focus on sports and the arts.
You'll visit kid-friendly attractions like Sea World Theme Park and Warner Bros. Movie World. Venture out of the city with trips to Brisbane (Helicopter Tours & South Bank Parklands). Plan for a day of cool, family-friendly fun on the 6th (Thu) at Dreamworld. And it doesn't end there: kick back and relax at Surfers Paradise Beach, try out the rides at Infinity Attraction, and get some thrills out on the water with a waterskiing or jet-skiing adventure.

Coolum Beach

Coolum Beach is a beachside town on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland, Australia and is also the beach around which the town is based.HistoryThe name is derived from the local Undumbi word gulum or guloom, meaning "blunt" or "headless", referring to the shape of Mount Coolum, which has no peak.According to Aboriginal legend, Ninderry knocked off Coolum's head and it fell into the ocean and is now Mudjimba Island.The Coolum district was the traditional land of the Inabara or Yinneburra clan of the Undanbi Tribe. Kids will appreciate attractions like BLAST Aqua Park Coolum and Aqua Fun Park. Step out of Coolum Beach to go to Beerwah and see Australia Zoo, which is approximately 40 minutes away. The Gateway to the Great Barrier Reef

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
Attractions like Scuba & Snorkeling and Spas make great kid-friendly stops. Go for a jaunt from Cairns to Palm Cove to see Palm Cove Beach about 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Trinity Beach, hike along Esplanade Boardwalk, and take an unforgettable tour with a helicopter tour.
