Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
On the 14th (Tue), get engrossed in the history at Museo Larco, don't miss a visit to Miraflores, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Iglesia y Convento de San Francisco, and finally admire the local landmark of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor). On the 15th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: visit Barranco, walk around Plazuela Chabuca Granda, steep yourself in history at Huaca Pucllana, then make a trip to Circuito Magico Del Agua, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at San Pedro Church (Iglesia de San Pedro).

Montreal, Canada to Lima is an approximately 9.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. Traveling from Montreal in April, expect Lima to be much hotter, temps between 28°C and 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 15th (Wed) to allow enough time to travel to Arequipa.

Prepare for slightly colder weather when traveling from Lima in April: high temperatures in Arequipa hover around 24°C and lows are around 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 16th (Thu) to allow enough time to drive to Cabanaconde.

A vacation in Cabanaconde provides visitors with an opportunity to explore the left bank of the Colca River, an area quite untouched by commercial tourism.
Kick off your visit on the 17th (Fri): don't miss a visit to Sangalle, then take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Condor's Cross, and then take some stellar pictures from Mirador Cruz del Condor. Traveling by car from Cabanaconde to Puno takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of taxi and bus. In April, daytime highs in Puno are 22°C, while nighttime lows are 1°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 21st (Tue) early enough to travel to Cusco.
