Tokyo holds the status of most populous metropolitan area in the world--a fact you'll find tangible as you walk the bustling streets and explore its diverse neighborhoods and cultures.
Go for a jaunt from Tokyo to Maihama to see Tokyo DisneySea about 30 minutes away. And it doesn't end there: make a trip to Meiji Jingu Shrine, have some family-friendly fun at Owl Cafe Akiba Fukurou, enjoy breathtaking views from Tokyo Metropolitan Government Buildings, and take in nature's colorful creations at Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden.

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia to Tokyo is an approximately 17-hour flight. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 6 hours traveling from Jeddah to Tokyo. Plan for much colder temperatures traveling from Jeddah in December, with highs in Tokyo at 14°C and lows at 4°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Sun) early enough to take a train to Nagoya.

Nagoya

Known nationally as an industrial heartland, Nagoya boasts a far more cosmopolitan and cultural core than its reputation would lead you to believe.
On the 6th (Mon), don't miss a visit to Nagoya Castle, then admire nature's wide array of creatures at Port of Nagoya Public Aquarium, and then take in the spiritual surroundings of Atsuta Jingu Shrine. On the next day, explore the world behind art at Tokugawa Art Museum, make a trip to Nagoya Urban Institute, and then see the interesting displays at Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology.

Getting from Tokyo to Nagoya by train takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: fly; or drive. Traveling from Tokyo in December, you will find days in Nagoya are a bit cooler (9°C), and nights are about the same (3°C). Finish your sightseeing early on the 7th (Tue) to allow enough time to take a train to Kyoto.

Kyoto

The national capital for over a thousand years, Kyoto retains much of the charm of old Japan, boasting numerous temples and shrines that seem completely untouched by the modern world.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Kyoto: Dotombori District (in Dotombori) and Universal Studios Japan (in Osaka). There's lots more to do: steep yourself in history at Kiyomizu-dera Temple, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sanjusangendo Temple, visit Gion, and step into the grandiose world of Nijo Castle.

Traveling by train from Nagoya to Kyoto takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Nagoya in December, expect nights in Kyoto to be about the same, around 4°C, while days are somewhat warmer, around 13°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 11th (Sat) early enough to catch the train to Hiroshima.
