Often referred to as the gem of the Amalfi Coast, Positano remains one of southern Italy's most sought-after vacation locales, thanks to its hillside location and picturesque, pastel buildings.
Relax by the water at Spiaggia Grande and Lido di Ravello. Take a break from the city and head to Valle delle Ferriere and Le Ali nel Vento - Birds of Prey Experience. Get out of town with these interesting Positano side-trips: Ravello (Duomo di Ravello & Villa Rufolo) and Duomo di Sant'Andrea (in Amalfi). There's much more to do: enjoy the sand and surf at Fornillo, stroll the grounds of Cimitero Monumentale, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Cloister del Paradiso.
