Marvel at the extraordinary range of artworks on display at Museu Calouste Gulbenkian. Formed from the private collection of Ottoman-born oil magnate Calouste Gulbenkian (of which only about one-sixth remains on permanent exhibition), the museum houses treasures spanning East and West and including Egyptian relics, Chinese porcelain, Western masterpieces, and everything in between. • The Museum is nice, friendly ballad in the garden to the discovery of the ducklings. The permanent exhibition is very interesting. The scenography is aerated and the purpose is clear. Nothing to complain about. Go!

  • Not a museum but a park that brings together various exhibition buildings. A real treat for the eyes and mind. Indeed, not only can you visit the "Museum" but you can especially spend time in the garden very nice :)

  • This is a collection of porcelain, paintings, furniture and other artefacts beautifully displayed throughout a number of rooms. Descriptions are in English as well as Portuguese and are easy to read. ...  more »

  • My favourite museum in the world. The collections are stupendous. The very best of each area is represented. There is space enough to enjoy all of it, and the grounds almost out do the collection. So worth seeing
  • A good way to spend half a day. Price was reasonable. Exhibits very interesting. Easy to get to from subway. Food looked good at fair prices. Beautiful gardens and park.
  • Garden was highlight of our visit to Lisbon, water features, bamboo, lots of shaded and grass areas to sit and relax, tortoises and ducks in the streams. Cafes and restaurants good value, but I wasn't as impressed with the modern art. Gallery space and building were more interesting.
  • Museum complex comprises two buildings and a park. One with modern art and the other is the traditional museum. There are several cafes, but I wasn't able to connect to WiFi. Toilets are free, and everything is perfectly organized. Park is beautiful, and locals come here to spend time after the work. It's a great place to bring children too.
  • If you just bought an online ticket for a concert or a show in the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation website and if you happen to passe by, even if days before the show, you can very easily get it printed. All you have to do is to go to the main building and at the front desk, near the gift shop, ask to get your ticket printed. To facilitate and speed things up please have the number, that is in the topic of the confirmation email, ready. Every time I do this i don't spend more than 5-7 minutes. Hope it helps.
