  • 7/19 (Wednesday) visiting. At 9 in the morning I went to half-time. Rode the cable car was clean, but stopped on the way to walk. Light rain also fell. If you arrived at work in in front of the lookout fence. Rain was not very good, but during construction the shock. Took photos from between the fence and went to the next tourist.

  • A place where you can see almost the entire city of Lisbon which descends to the banks of the Tagus.

  • In Lisbon you will find more of a "miraduro", a sort of viewpoint from which to admire this beautiful city, now perhaps a bit faded but certainly underestimated. You can reach him with the Elevador de Gloria or by bus 58 (or 59, unfortunately can't remember for sure). Very nice garden adorned by busts of famous men and heroes: I assure you that the views of the city makes it worth going there.

  • This is a nice place for a good view and it's free. You can sit down on a bench and you can listen to the streetmusic.
  • The construction obscures some of the view, as well as blocking the more interesting lower section. There is also no water in any of the fountains and not really any greenery - just gravel. I can only imagine its potential. The view through the construction fence is nice though.
  • Great views. Worth a visit to this little park. Grab a pastel del nata and coffee from the kiosk.
  • Beautiful view for the big part of the Lisbon. Unfortunately there was some renovation going on when we visited Lisbon so we were able to admire the view only by through the fences :P
  • Great view but the current construction is quite annoying. Very dusty and noisy with the fence blocking the view so taking a photo is almost impossible. What a pity

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
