  • Beautiful place to take a ride with family and friends. Between the Jeronimos Monastery and the landmark Discovery. It is a beautiful garden with Monumental fountain attraction of Bethlehem with their games of lights achieved with water effects, night is a unique spectacle.

  • A nice and leafy garden very well taken care of. With beautiful stone ornaments and a beautiful Fountain, which in the past was, but these days I'm not sure because I don't have passed there at night. It feels good to walk in this garden after a visit to the monastery.

  • A good green space in front of several iconic monuments of Lisbon. However could be more careful and have more shadows.

  • Beautiful surroundings. Lisbon itself is a country full of history and great place to visit. However this place cafe food was disgusting. Wedges was dry, ribs rock hard best bit of the food was the salad.
  • What can I say? Lisbon, just go there. It's beautiful and busy and old. Just amazing. Book your flight now.
  • Average park lying in between the Jeronimos Monastery and the Discoveries Monument. What counts against it; you will get swarmed by 2 annoyances -1) hawkers/gypsies trying to sell you trinkets, so also watch your bag and pockets...2) lots of bees and flies around actually made me want to rush past this place. But it's a necessary stop when visiting the Monastery so what the hell! Also worth trying the Pateis de Belem from the nearby famous patisserie.
  • A beautiful park at the waterfront and right in front of the old monestary. Big beautiful fountaine. Perfect for a short break on a warm day.
  • Beautiful garden, with a great view of Tegus River, large space of grass, to relax, read, eat or talk under the trees. Nice!

Where to stay in Lisbon

Check into one of Lisbon's grand city center hotels to position yourself well to explore the central historical districts on foot. To avoid the potentially high prices of some of the Old Town's central upscale hotels, try staying in a hostel instead. While some hostels have an upper age limit for their guests, they're affordable and oftentimes offer access to attractions on par with or better than bigger hotels. In the upper town, opt for one of the family-run bed and breakfasts, which provide affordable rooms and, as the name would suggest, include a meal as well.
