  • Brown River is about 45 minutes drive from Port Moresby. Another 20 minutes drive will take you upstream to the riverside village of Edevu. The stark change of the scenery in the vegetation will fool you into thinking you have flown out of Port Moresby. Surrounded by the Koiari mountains, the climate is cool and the dense rainforest gives you a breath of fresh air from the dust ridden city of Port Moresby. Worth a drive out there to enjoy the scenery but most of all the crystal clear river.
