  • You smell it almost everywhere, but you can see it very well, here in Waimangu. Thanks to the German description, it is possible to understand the origin as well as the processes in the valley (crater) even better. A hike that is worthwhile. And the return tour from the lake by bus is also a good idea.

  • This is a must see! The park is beautifully maintained, staff are very good, and services offered are great. I highly recommend doing the boat tour at the end. Very informative and utterly stunning. Make this place a priority visit!
  • Easy enough walk up to the Inferno crater. Bus service back makes it even better. Gorgeous natural scenes with a well maintained gravel path to walk on. Some steep steps may make it difficult for elderly visitors.
