Work up a sweat with a climb to the top of Canons du Ouen Toro, a tall mound overlooking a lagoon. Choose from several trails ascending the forested slopes, all of which lead to the summit and two Australian cannons left behind from World War II. Take a guide and learn about Australian troops stationed here to assist New Caledonia during the war. For the best views, visit at the end of the day, when you can catch the sunset. • There seems to be many ways to go, but i chose an easy route and went to the top. There was a bad foothold on the way, but I was able to go with sposan. The view from the top is the best and you can see the ansbata. There were some groups that seemed to be local. There was a park with a good view a little down from the top, and everyone was spending time slowly. Personally, I might like this one better.
