Felsenkirche, Luderitz

#3 of 8 in Things to do in Luderitz
Church · Hidden Gem · Tourist Spot
Head up the hill to visit Felsenkirche, one of the oldest Evangelical Lutheran churches in the country. Completed in 1912 as the European population of the town grew, the church looks over the town and sea, its prominent Gothic and Victorian-influenced architecture making it a symbol of Luderitz. Take in the striking stained-glass windows, a gift from Kaiser Wilhelm II, and make use of your elevation to snap photos of the town, the coastline, and the sea. • Definitely a place to visit if you're in Luderitz. It's one of our most famous historic buildings. It's also our most beautiful, especially from the inside. In the afternoon the light coming through the windows bring out the vivid colors.
  • Great church. Fabulous glass windows with a touch of history 🇩🇪🇳🇦
