  • Best accessed by car and inexplicably there is a shop set up for the sole purpose of collecting fees for parking. Short, slightly muddy walk on narrow trail to a tall, narrow waterfall. Nice...  more »
  • Stunning waterfall with a nice walking trail. It can be a little slippery so be sure to wear sensible shoes and take a walking pole if you think you will need it. During the afternoon it can get quite busy so go a bit earlier if you want to have the place to yourself.
  • This is one of the top 100 Waterfalls in Japan. It is said to be the Kegon of Kyuushuu. Kegon is one of the top 3 Waterfalls in Japan. For Higashi Shiiya, car park and washrooms are available. Parking fee is ¥300. Sticks are free for use, if needed. Waterfall is about 8 min walk from the car park. A pleasant walk. Not a difficult one but due to wet leaves, might be slippery. Just need to be careful. I wish I could upload more pictures but I think my picture file-size are too big for uploading.
