Following a pleasant 15-minute hike through the forest along a stream, you'll stumble upon stacks of stones, which serve as wish towers made by devotees and visitors paying tribute to the sun goddess. You can’t enter the cave, but can instead admire it from an observation deck. The cave is believed to have many spiritual powers and attracts crowds of visitors year-round. It can be reached via Amano Iwato Shrine, some 10 km (6 mi) from Takachino.
