  This area is stunning! I highly recommend this hike. After arriving at Hikosan station (650 yen from Hita or 1290 yen from Hakata) you can take a bus to the mountain for 200 yen. If you ride the bus.....  more »

  花あり紅葉あり展望あり史跡あり登り応えありと四季折々に楽しめる素晴らしい山である英彦山。 読み方は「ひこさん」と最初の英の字は発音しないのが独特。 また山の名前は英彦山ですが、麓のJRの駅名は彦山駅、川の名前は彦山川と英の字がないのはややこしい。

  Mt. Hidehiko is a wonderful mountain that you can enjoy in the four seasons with flowers and autumn leaves and a historical site with a view. It is unique that the first English character is not pronounced as "Hiko-san" in the way of reading. In addition, the name of the mountain is Mt. Hidehiko, but the station name of JR at the foot is Hikoyama Station, and the name of the river is Hikoyama River and it is confusing that there is no English character.
