  • There are many tourists including foreign people. Hakata Gion Yamakasa is dedicated. Below that there is a takahama tail. I just don't notice.

  • Small shrine located near the canal shopping mall and the Kawabata shopping street, quaint and tranquil, worth dropping by if you are in the area.  more »

  • Very cool shrine in the middle of Canal City. Kind of a refreshing corner in what is otherwise a busy area with a lot of bars and shops. It’s a nice place to relax and slow down without needing to leave city center. In October they hold a big festival with the various floats and portable shrines.
  • Oh yeah! This place is a little jem tucked away in the middle of the city. I stumbled upon it when I was heading to the old market. The place is right beside the entrance. I was luck to enjoy the grounds on a beautiful day just as a few cherry blossoms were in bloom. A good place to get a few nice pictures.
