4.2
#1 of 35 in Historic Sites in Fujisawa
Lighthouse · Hidden Gem · Observation Deck
Take a lift or climb the spiraling stairs to the top of the 40 m (131.2 ft) Enoshima Sea Candle, where you'll experience breathtaking 360 degree vistas across the bay and city. On a clear day you'll be afforded some of the best views of Mt. Fuji available, with its snow-capped, conical shape visible in the haze of the day. Not only a viewpoint, the structure still functions as a lighthouse, as well as supporting antennas providing cell phone signals. Consider a nighttime visit; aside from being recognized as the 6th best "Japan Heritage Night View," the structure lights up brilliantly, powered by solar energy collected throughout the day. • Beautiful sight and must do. Easy to park at beginning of island, fun garden path walk through the temples, and the gardens and sea candle were beautiful and well kept. Plenty of bathrooms and places....  more »
  • We got the ticket to ascend this amazing feature. Views for 360degrees. We thought we could make out Mt Fuji. The illuminations were also fantastic when viewed from above.  more »

  • Impressive location, interesting scenery and places of cultural interest. Quite busy on Monday so what it will be like for the Olympics difficult to imagine. To get up to the viewing point and beyond there are quite a few steps so not for the unfit or people who do not like a bit of a challenge. Lots of food outlets on the way as well as range of gift shops. Enjoyed it.
  • Nice view of Enoshima from above. The price is very reasonable and there is a cozy cafe in the park at the bottom. The lift takes you to the top where you get a 360 view, and then you can descend using the stairs. There were some nice water painting goods on sale in the tower.
