Learn the history of the island at Kyushu National Museum, an institution dedicated to the cultural heritage of Kyushu. Opened in 2005, the distinctive glass and wood building provides an impressive setting for permanent and temporary exhibitions regarding different aspects and eras of the island's past. Kyushu National Museum Reviews
more »I couldn't stop by for a special exhibition because of the time, but I enjoyed it enough with 500 yen for a set ticket with the treasure hall. The 15-minute video shows an 8K screen, one of the largest in the world. After a walk in Dazaifu, take the long elevator. By all means, I recommend that you go to dazaifu and set.
more »After we had our meals on the approach to Dazaifu, we went to the museum, and it was the pace of each time. This time, it was riki udon and umegaeda mochi. I can't wait to get to the entrance to the museum. And the exhibits are always full, and there is a great balance, not many, but few. If there is a space where you can take a rest a little more, it is still appreciated.
Fantastic exhibit. English audio guide and descriptions on the items make it very easy for non Japanese speakers (also have other languages available). Large, airy, impressive building. Highly recommend a visit.
History is detailed well. It be great if they can play a video - kind of a movie to depict what really happeed in the past. We mostly end up imaging which is very difficult for a foreigner!
