Take in the view at Daikanbo, an observation area within the national park. The scenic spot, located on the top of a hill, offers views of five peaks of the mountain range, said to resemble a reclining Buddha. An onsite visitor center introduces the area, the significance of the view, and includes a restaurant serving light refreshments. To reach the observation platform, travel by car and use the onsite parking lot, or drop by as part of a longer walk through the national park. Make Daikanbo a centerpiece of your Aso vacation itinerary, and find what else is worth visiting using our Aso travel itinerary planner.
