We are renovating a 70-year-old house in Akasaka, Tokyo.

A family home for three generations that survived amid the hustle and bustle of Akasaka in the heart of Tokyo, this house witnessed the arc of postwar history, from the darkness of the fire-bombed city to today’s neon lights. Stay tuned to this page for updates on our renovation and what we have planned to share the house’s memory with the city.

  • A haven in the middle of the bustling side streets of Akasaka. It's a longstanding heritage spot with a single room upstairs for guests to sleep in and a quaint coffee shop downstairs that serves up pour over coffees, teas and the like. Highly recommended due to the historical nature of the place and the photographic exhibitions on offer.
  • If today were my last day on earth, this is where I would go. It’s sweet, it’s charming, the zines are top of the line! Great place to take someone you want to have a deep conversation with. Got to stay in the hotel for a night, and it was my favorite place I stayed in Tokyo. I actually proposed to my boyfriend, he said no, but we still had a great time anyway! Because it was such a special place. It’s that good. We’re good friends now.
